The society and culture of Pakistan comprises numerous diverse cultures and ethnic groups from the Punjabis and Sindhis in the east to the tribal cultures of the Baloch and Pashtun in the west and the ancient Dardic in the north. These Pakistani cultures have been greatly influenced by many of the surrounding countries' cultures, such as those of Turkish, Persian, Afghan, and Indians of South Asia, Central Asia and the Middle East.
Elements of Pakistani Culture Society: 1) Material Elements:
The Material elements of Pakistani Culture have changed rapidly and extensively. Modern Technology and Consumer goods have been adopted by all sections of the society .From Tea to Television or from Kentucky fried chicken to kidney transplant modern products have spread rapidly Pakistan’s Material culture is galloping ahead in line with global trends. a) Pakistan and Technology Elements: The developing countries should adopt appropriate technology which is based upon the need for providing employment. It should be according to the stage of development and within the prevailing economic policy framework of the country.
Lake of Technological Advancement in Pakistan and its effects on Culture: * In Pakistan literacy rate is 52% which is not satisfactory. Due to illiteracy people are unaware about the importance of technology. They don’t know how to use technological items.
* In Pakistan population growth rate is almost high, over populated countries cannot use the modern technology due to the fear of unemployment.
* In developing countries like Pakistan, most of the officers who have no technical training are appointed and they no idea about the importance of use of modern technology.
