Pancakes Vs Waffles Research Paper
Many great debates exist in history on various topics such as politics, tv shows, pop culture, etc. In the 1990s and 2000s, the NSYNC and Backstreet Boys’ fans constantly dueled, in 2000 Bush v Gore dominated the United States, in 1997 whether or not Ross and Rachel from Friends were really on a break, and countless others. However, these historical debates now need to move over for a new dispute: breakfast. Arguably the most important meal of the day, one needs to make a wise decision about his or hers breakfast choice because it will determine the entire course of someone’s day. Similar to Coke vs Pepsi, the next debate for the history books will include pancakes vs waffles. While some would consider these breakfast essentials to include …show more content…
To make either breakfast treat, one needs to use the proper cookingware. A griddle or hot frying pan cooks pancakes, and waffles require a waffle iron. Although, both have advantages and disadvantages, waffle irons epitomizes simplicity and convenience because it only requires a person to plug it in, butter it up, pour the batter, close the lid, and then voila a perfect waffle appears. A griddle or frying pan, however, requires expert skill and time to utilize safely and effectively. Additionally, cooking pancakes requires more luck to get the perfect shape, and for it to not look ugly. Waffles, on the other hand, come with a predetermined size, based on the waffle iron, and easily produces a uniform shape. One day, if two friends decide to breakfast together, a fight would ensue over who would get the bigger and prettier pancake, but with waffles both friends will enjoy an easy-going and relaxing morning. One of the most important aspects of both foods is toppings, especially syrup! Unfortunately, the syrup simply dribbles down pancakes turning them into a disastrous, soggy mess. On the other hand, the waffle’s exceptional grid-like structure captures the syrup in its pockets, thus giving the diner a mess-free and sensational meal of delectable waffles. An easy, laid back, and delicious meal remains the dream for everyone, and waffles render as the go-to food for the people who want that

The two meals that I have chosen are breakfast and dinner. We will discuss breakfast first. This morning I had two fried eggs with salt and pepper, a piece of toast with blackberry jam, and a diet coke. The origins of the Kroger brand eggs and the Kroger brand black pepper were from Cincinnati, OH, the Morton’s kosher salt is from Chicago, IL, the Nature’s Own bread was from Thomasville, GA, the Kauffman’s blackberry jam was from Montezuma, GA, and the Diet Coke was from Atlanta, GA.…

This essay delves into the fact that food has no age limit and shouldn’t. With the sentence “Life is too short to deny oneself the simple pleasures that bring joy and satisfaction,” Chat rejects the narrative that you can outgrow things you enjoy. I assume this would persuade several of the desired demographics and more because it erases the stigma around “outgrowing” foods. Moving on to the negatives, ChatGPT makes multiple claims about Hot Cheetos being unifying and enjoyable, but provides no means to explain how or why. For example, Chat continuously states phrases similar to “promises a thrilling journey with every bite," but without concrete examples, the statements are not credible and seem exaggerated and baseless.…

Prompt 2: According to the slide show I have developed an interest in many different foods and would like to try all of them except for the cinnamon. Cinnamon kills people. Cinnamon is too small for the human body to swallow and when trying to do it you choke to death, hence the “cinnamon challenge.” Otherwise I have no interest in any of the other foods on that list. There is one food, however, that I absolutely adore. Back in the old days my family always loved to go out for dinner. No matter what, it was what always happened. In fact one time I went to Denny’s and got a free shirt and meal because I went there almost every day. Denny’s isn’t just a place to eat. For me it is a way of life. I’m not the only one either. Tons of friends love Denny’s as much as I and sometimes we party together at Denny’s. Every time I go I order a grandslamwich with a side of hash browns and lemonade. It all tastes so sweet and delicious and savory that I almost never know when to stop eating. Sometimes when I order I just say the usual and everyone knows exactly what to get. It wasn’t always like that though. My dad, back in his youth, had always ordered me a grandslamwich even though I never liked it but after some time I grew attached to the mouthwatering treat. I would go to sleep every night with my window open and I would stare at the twinkling balls of light hiding up in the beautiful night sky….wondering when the next encounter would happen… the encounter with the restaurant of the gods. Now that I grow older and wiser, I realize that Denny’s does have some drawbacks. I assume that since Denny’s has no superior in the restaurant business, it cannot be all hugs and kisses, without even knowing anything about this I can prove it. Newton’s third Law States that “Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.” Therefore Denny’s cannot be simply amazing in every way. I did some research on this subject and found out that a grandslamwich is about 1500 calories. This is about…

Today, many Americans constantly worry about the effect of their eating habits on their weight and health. However, for much of the nineteenth century, most Americans were rarely concerned with the nutritional quality of their meals, and instead focused on eating as much as possible. According to Harvey Levenstein, author of Revolution at the Table: The Transformation of the American Diet, the inception of present-day eating habits has its roots in the “eating revolution,” which occurred between the 1880s and 1930s. At the turn of the twentieth century, the American middle class began to eat much more “economically and healthily,” than they had in the past. Levenstein attributes this change in food habits to both economic and social factors,…

“The Omnivore’s Dilemma, A Natural History Of Four Meals.” by Michael Pollan is an incredibly information-dense review of our modern day food industry. A writing by Michael Pollan, “The Futures of Food”, explains the timeline of food throughout history and the different beliefs on what the future has in store for food. In the past, people viewed the futures of food as everything in one, or a pill. By the mid-1960s, people were well on their way to a “synthetic food future” (Pollan 1). By this point, TV dinners had been developed, and were used by mothers so they were not making multiple meals to please all their children.…
