Pandora and Eve
Introduction
It is not hard to find any similarities between the Greek woman, Pandora and Epimetheus and Eve and Adam of the Bible, from the Judeo-Christian tradition. Both women are the known for releasing the evil in world. Pandora and Eve are both created for human kind, where Pandora is created as a gift whereas Eve is created as the companion of the man. In both stories women are created and ordered not to disobey the God’s order. In this stories women are said to be the root of all evil. The focus these two stories is about releasing the evil in the world. (Buxton, 2004, p.56-58)
Elaboration and Consideration of the main events
In Greek mythology, Pandora was called to be the first woman, she was created by Hephaistos, master of the immortal technology. Hephaistos made a statue out of earth and water and put the life in that statue, the shape of a statue looked like a deceptive structure but also looks so unpleasantness lay within, and thus this was called the first woman. Each of the Olympian god gave her a gift so God’s gave her name Pandora, meaning all gift. (Buxton, 2004, p.56) In Judeo-Christian tradition, Eve was the first women, created by God. The First verse in the Holy book of Bible, states that God has first created the heavens and earth. Following this The Bible says that, then God proceeded to create light, stars, water, animals, insects, sea, creatures that lives in sea and finally man, all this was made in 6 days. Here is the verse states that, Adam, the first man who is also created by God, who did not evolve properly as of the time goes and the period of time, God breathed into his nostrils and give him the life, Then God put Adam in the Garden of Eden. As verse continues, it says that after a few times God again look to Adam, and thinks that Adam do not need to be alone, so created the
