This is just a myth, children would take their wooden shoes and fill the with carrots and put them on their front porch, so that the reindeers have something to snack on and also as a thank you for doing what they did to help deliver gifts, after the shoes were empty Nick would fill them with goodies such as candy, dolls, ect… There are plenty other differences between the real santa and the one that they want kids to believe today. so those r the difficulties to understand when trying to understand what really happened because there are so many differences, and how much they have twisted the story around.
The second change in history would be technology, cause as we know technology is advancing rapidly.
It would be hard to understand how it was back then, they had simple stuff like a lightbulb and a computer that took up a whole room.i think that it would be hard to understand how simple technology was back then because it is so complicated today. For example a computer, todays computers are portable and easy to carry, back then a computer took up a whole room and took a truck to move. We think that it should have been simple, another example would be cell phones. This is a good example because the phones we have today are touch screen and very fancy, back then it was a flip phone with buttons, some people today still have them but a big percent of people have touch screens. like if you were to give a flip phone to someone that has only had a touch screen phone all their life, they will not know what to do, they would be lost and most likely need to use a manuel or even look it up on you tube to see how they work. these are the difficulties of trying to understand past era ideas or
events.
I hope that i explained myself pretty well about the difficulties that arise when trying to understand past eras. Most of the time the reason that it is hard understand is because it is way different today so we think how could that even be cause we either have it to easy or even wonder how was the computers so different than they are today.
