Patient Centered Assessment

When I think of “patient-centered assessment,” I believe it should be focused on respect, needs and values of the patient. Assessments should be centered on emotional support, knowledge of the patient, physical well-being, communication, endurance of a healthy living style, care management between patient and families. We need to develop and demonstrate patient’s care making sure it expands the patient’s involvements with quality care and satisfaction. By patients accepting these types of care methods as a true life style change, and having them take action, by being practical in the beginning of their care.
