Patient safety indicators are used by Hospital’s to help identify any potential risk to patient safety and to improve healthcare. The focus is to increase knowledge and the understanding of the effects on the hospital reputation. As a patient, you really should know what kind of care you are expecting to get when you visit a hospital. With that being said, they also have an option on what hospital they choose. We need to be that hospital that is shown to be the safest in the state with the least reportable incidents. We need to put our patients and their families first.
