According to the article “Private Language” by Patty Crespo, the author writes that immigrants should learn English for better live in new country. However, she also advises keeping native language, religion and culture for future generation. I also think it is very important that immigrants should know the national language and the public language.

The real problem occurs when one or both parties aren’t communicating due to a language barrier. This problem seems pretty simple to most Americans, just make everyone speak English.
