A touchy, and very controversial subject, such as abortions has raised many opinions over the years. Societal, government, and religious ideologies regarding this choice of being able to take away an unborn life, have contributed significantly to the treatment of those seeking an abortion. An abortion is a serious matter never the less, and arguments for and against the action are raised unremittingly. It is in a matter of opinion to say that these arguments have changed over the past ten years, however in the present day, there are more available institutes to help undertake this action. Does this mean that more people currently support abortions? The general societal beliefs today are considerably even. People against abortions believe it should be made illegal, even in cases of rape and incest. Those that are for abortions are hesitant however, due to there being too many abortions occurring. This creates a grey-like area in which people reside, not being entirely for or entirely against the action. In more recent years, abortion access in health institutions has become stricter. Recent studies have shown that, compared to ten years ago, the percentage of people taking one side or the other in the matter, hasn’t really changed at all. It has been through government and political interference that has affected, and made minimal change, to societal beliefs during this period of time. The U.S. Supreme Court, more than forty years back, granted a woman the right to abortion in the case of Roe vs. Wade. Closely following that granted freedom of choice, were extreme politicians, attempting to take the right to abortion away. Politicians have attempted to enforce laws to ban abortion rights, take away health centres that support the action, and have even gone to the extent of trying to conclude programs that provide birth control. This political assault on rights has now caused over 300 anti-abortion restrictions during the
