I have known Melissa Kline for four years, first as a student in my Freshman CP English class and currently in Senior AP English Language and Literature. A favorite memory is my first impression of her. In the midst of a freshman writing assignment, I noticed her consulting a meticulously handwritten notebook of grammar rules. She was using her notes from eighth grade! I remember thinking, Here is a student on whom nothing is wasted, and I was right. Today, Melissa continues to be an outstanding student, consistently organized and prepared. Her observations are well considered and insightful. When asked to work in a group, she assumes a leadership role. This commitment to excellence is reflected by her repeated inclusion on the honor roll,…

Suren has many activities to juggle during the week, including homework, an extracurricular math team, and some sports activities. Recently, she also became the editor of the school newspaper due to her recognition as a talented writer. Despite this schedule, she is always able to find enough time to practice piano in order to participate and thrive in several piano recitals and competitions each year. Each week she takes an hour-long piano lesson with me late in the evening that often lasts for well over that hour and her attention is still very much focused on the considerable details that we cover. To be able to work with a person like this is a rather uncommon treat for me as a teacher. For this reason, Suren is very inspirational to me.…

It first started out where only men were allowed to preform, now, today anyone can perform no matter their skin, race, or ethnicity. The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is what modern theatre is today. Actors singing, dancing and engaging with the audience. My overall experience at this play was excellent, I was thoroughly entertained throughout the whole production.…

It was fun working with Wendi since she was so open to different ideas and suggestions. When we were looking through our script to find beats, it was easy for us to find tactics, titles and objectives since each of us felt comfortable asking each other for help and took our time making sure everything worked. While she has had a lot of work to do with midterms and other classes, she never made me feel nervous or guilty for asking her questions about the script or getting together outside of class even when she was busy. Thankfully, she was very reliable since she was so well organized that she would always be prepared for and even finish assignments long before they were due. Even when I felt I was being a bit controllative or judgemental,…

She is currently attending the school P.S.225, which is located on 1075 Oceanview Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11235. I chose Adrianna because I felt I could relate to her positive energy.
