Personal Budget Essay
Starting out with this career project my personal budget was kind of hard to make ends meet, but in the end I did find a way to successfully solve it with where I feel I have enough money left over. I feel like this personal budget project has been very challenging, and is also helping me understand and how to use a computer. Compared to what I see other people’s budget mine is kind of low. I chose the profession of becoming a middle school teacher. With my budget I had to make a change of my house and my car. I also had to make sure I would have enough money a year to be able to survive with. My career income was $67,740 and according to Naviance that was just starting out for your first couple of years, so that number will go up in the future. My yearly expenses for the car and house are $4,404.00 and the house payment …show more content…
I really want to become a teacher but right now I’m asking myself, Is it worth it? Can I survive with my leftover money? I think I am going to stick with becoming a teacher but I would really have to look at what are the wants in life and what are the needs. From the career I have selected and the total expenses I can see I would have to make a change. The pie chart also gave me an indication that my house was too expensive because I saw it took up a lot of the pie chart so I made that change. Real life math skills are very important because if I had no knowledge of math I would be way over budget and I would be in debt. My personal opinion of this project is very good. I say this because now I am starting to see the real world and the everyday lives of adults, and how challenging it is to be able to survive. I feel like this project will help me out in the long run and I will have to always remember what is the smarter choice in life and it may always the one you want but the one you

During the past few weeks, news in Washington has focused on the extreme budget cuts proposed by the Trump administration. Namely, the almost 30% decrease in the budget of the State Department has drawn bipartisan opposition. According to individuals on both sides of the political spectrum, underfunding the Department of State would negatively affect the United States’ national security. Though the White House claims that the budget is still in discussion, many state that the proposal is “dead on arrival” and would disastrous to enact. Though the decision to make some major cuts is a part of Trump’s campaign promise to “reprioritize how American tax dollars are spent”,…

I want to stay here in Illinois so I can stay close to my family. Like I said above, I want to work in forensic science, which pays about 71,040$ per year in Springfield, Illinois (“Average Salary for Forensic Science Technicians”). This is just an average though, and I don’t expect to make that much, especially when I just start out. I expect to earn somewhere between 50,000 and 60,000 dollars per year. Either way, this is definitely enough to support the lifestyle that I want for myself. I want a lifestyle very similar to what I had when I was growing up. I would like to have a family of four: me, a husband, and two kids (ideally one boy and one girl!). I want to have a simple house that has a lot of character and charm. I want it to be big enough for my kids to have their own rooms. It is also really important that I have a room for my library (I own a lot of books). But I don’t want it too big. I don’t want spare rooms that are never used because I just think those are pointless. I also want both my future husband and I to each have a semi-nice car. It doesn’t have to be a Porsche (although that would be nice). Just nice, safe cars. I also want to be able to afford nice things for my kids. What I mean by nice things are things like nice toys and clothes. I want to be able to afford nice presents for their birthdays and for Christmas. Once they get older I want to be able to afford to buy them things to decorate their…
