For majority in this group, touring is more about relaxation or working than running around sightseeing. A good example is my course mate’s father who travels for work so much that he applies for a new passport twice a year. He is usually gone for weeks at a time, and even though he doesn’t enjoy being away from his family, his occupation requires him to. People that travel just because may or may not have a travel fund like globe trotters. They would rather have company than travel alone, and they do this maybe once or twice a year. Maya, a busy programmer, who doesn’t care much for travelling went on 3 trips last year because his wife won a lottery. Left to him alone, he would stay at home or go to work. Another lady I know also travels once every year to Ghana because her husband and kids reside there. The ticket is expensive and the flight is long, but she doesn’t have much of a choice; she needs to see her family. Home Buddies
Those who find themselves in this group cannot be bothered with travelling. What goes on around the world is none of their business, because they are content with staying at home.
Many don’t own a passport, and whatever happening in Tokyo or Kalamazoo can
