Reflective Essay: Moving To America
During my childhood in Vietnam, my entire world only composed of classmates from school and friends in my hometown. People of from different country are seen as the minority in Vietnam. Because I was not exposed to varying types of people in the world, I had many misconceptions about the world I live in.
However, as I moved to America, a teacher taught me to comprehend the importance of each culture and the struggle each has to deal with. Indeed, I happened to encounter the poor areas in varying countries that are barely holding onto their lives while suffering from malnutrition and famine when learning AP Environmental Science. For the first time, fascinating uniquenesses of the world urge me to discover more about the beauty of humanity.
