My parents immigrated to America from China when they were younger than I currently am. They came at the ages of fourteen and seventeen and never had the chance to learn English, because they were too busy chasing the American Dream. They did so to provide stable and comfortable lives for themselves and their future children, but in the process they lost their voices.
