Thankful is a word not everyone truly understands. Being thankful is knowing all the small things your parents do for you, saying thank you, and meaning it, and understanding the value of anything and everything. All the following people have either developed a sense of gratitude for life or has helped other achieve it. We should use their stories to help us have more empathy towards others and how they appreciate the small things in life. Janine Dawidowicz was nine years old when her family was first pushed to Warsaw from Kalisz, Poland.…

“Keep your eye open to your mercies. The man who forgets to be thankful has fallen asleep in life.” There are so many things to be thankful for in life, big and small. I am thankful for my grandparents, my dogs and cat, and my mom. I am thankful for them because of everything they do for me.…
It is a quiet room filled with people. Most of them have smiles on their faces. Some of them are even about to have a laughter or two. Is it easy to find such a room in a university? Yes. But is it easy to find such a room where people are holding a funeral in? Absolutely no. The masterpiece-eulogy by Margaret Atwood made it possible. That is right, I am talking about “The Great Communicator”(1999), the eulogy to Northrop Frye.…
I am thankful for our soldiers giving us justice, thankful for them making us feel safe in our country, for giving us freedom of speech and more. This is what I appreciate from our soldiers.…
I would like to thank you all for being here today, it means a lot to me, my mother and my brother Biff to see all of your faces. It has been a very hard time for us and I am happy to see all the lives my father has touched, and I am glad to see that all of you have come for him. He would also be happy to see all of you here since he always wanted to be well liked. I wish that I had a lot more time with my father. My father might have had some flaws but he never meant to hurt people he always wanted to do good for people. He was my role model life because he never gave up in what he believed in and that is exactly what I am going to try to do. He had many dreams but was never able to achieve them making him feel like he was a failure. I am…
On behalf of my six siblings, I stand before you honored to deliver the eulogy for our mother, Savannah Marie Dorion LeBlanc. The essence of Mom is best understood as it is reflected in her incredible marriage to our father, and in the rearing of her children. To the extent that we are kind, loving and caring people, and to the extent that we have achieved success in life, it is due, in large measure, to her incredibly strong and nurturing maternal instincts, combined with her deep spirituality.…
I Father O’reilly am privileged to have gathered amongst you all today, to give another perspective of a man who was not “just Ed”. He never gave himself great value but in my eyes he was a saint walking among us. I will never forget the moments and favours that Ed has shared with me. Ed, as many would say was a useless cab driver but in truth, I would say he was more of an inspiration and certainly it was an honour to have met this young gentleman.…
The first thing I’m thankful for: my wonderful family and friends. I’m indebted to my parents because they take care of me. They do my laundry, feed me, they’re there for me, and multiple other things. I appreciate my friends because they lift me up when I’m sad. Also, since I have friends, I have someone to play with,…
Oh no, not again. A crowd of amused snickers erupted from behind me. It seemed as though my teacher had forgotten to accessorize with her pitchfork and horns this morning. I looked up at her and crossly glared. Apparently, no number of parent-teacher conferences could deter her from her “we sometimes have to do things we do not want to” mentality. I looked down at the page and read very slowly, stumbling and whistling through every s, sh, st and everything of the like. I sounded like an angry teapot. This was my own personal hell, and I had an audience. Boy, were they having the time of their lives. You would have thought that I was the world’s best stand-up comedian.…
I feel as aging is something normal in life and it's a process, getting old wont happens overnight, It takes time and for that reason I’m not as worried, but there is this point when I want to be old and mature and independent for the things I do. I dont think is as horrible because all it matters is for me to enjoy the years that I have left and to plan my future for the best. The Topic that gets me a little worried is dying, It gets me upset knowing that I will leave my family, but in the other hand I know I will die anytime soon, I’m realistic but that don't stop me from thinking the future for the people I love and how I am not gonna be part of their life no more. Death is at the point when I’m ready to die and say good-bye to all my beloved…
I am writing this formally apologize for my behavior and attitude this week. It was very hateful and unwarranted. I have no reason to take out all my anger on you, I think I only do it because I know you won’t yell at me after. Thank you for always being so endearing and affectionate towards me… sometimes I act like I don't enjoy it, but you know I do, baby. I want to tell you that I never want to have just a thing with you, because we are worth so much more than that. I love how close we are with each other, and it warms my heart. I have never cried in front of a boy before, let alone on a boy… so thank you for being my shoulder to cry on. You mean so much to me baby, and I never want to let you go. You are my best friend, my happiness, my…
The second thing I’m thankful for is my dog. I’m thankful for my dog because he protects my family day and night. Another reason why is he makes me laugh…
I am thankful for a lot. We should all be. I am thankful for my family, friends, enemies, Jesus, God, church, peace, my health, school, and life. I am thankful for these things, first because not everybody has these things. I am thankful for friends because if I didn’t have any friends then what would fill the time of sleepovers. If I didn’t have enemies, I would never have friends. We should all make friends put of our enemies. I am thankful for Jesus because we would never have gotten the choice of going to heaven. I am thankful for God because he created everything. HE created us and the nature that surrounds us. I am thankful church because I get to learn about Jesus and God. I am thankful for peace because some people around the world…
His name was Bradley Tolman. He was born on March 21, 1998 in Madison Memorial Hospital, in the city of Rexburg, Idaho. As a child Brad was an extremely hilarious kid, he was always smiling and laughing. There was always one thing about him that he would always do, he tied his blanket around his neck like a cape, and put on a pair of sunglasses, ran around the house saying “I’m Batman”. He would save people from the bad guys. Then there was this time when he wanted his mom to cut his hair right before school; because he wanted to go to school with his hair short. It was about time the bus should have been coming to pick them up. He really wanted his hair cut so much that he ran into the house, grabbed his dad’s electric razor,…
