The main one for me was helping my nan deal and recover when she was diagnosed with breast cancer, by helping her clean and change the dressing on the wound when she was unable to complete the task herself, encouraging her to continue taking her medication was essential to her recovery as they ensured the cancerous cell would not grow back or spread. The most important part was being there when she needed someone to talk to and I had the privilege of helping her through this. Having the satisfaction of knowing that I took responsibility and the trust she gave me to help care for her through this time is something that I will bring onto the course: as for me it is important to show this compassion to all patients, to ensure that they are dealing with any effects their illness could have on them and their family. This experience had a huge impact on my career decision, as it is what makes me certain that I wanted to become a nurse - so that I could provide that support and care to those who are faced with a serious health issue. But also to have the ability to make a difference to someone else’s life strikes me as rewarding and is something that I am eager to achieve.
I feel very passionate about studying the nursing course, as I feeling that pursuing this career will allow me to attain the ability and skills that I need to care and provide that support for those individual who need it. I am a hardworking and a determined student, and studying to pursue a satisfying career in nursing would be such a
