The position of nursing assistants may be underappreciated compared to registered nurses, physicians, etc. When you think about the lack CNA’s, and the growing number of older adults there is a need for more nursing aides. Pressure is placed on the remaining population of trained individuals to work that nursing aid position. To work X amount of hours a week and still come up short is mind bottling especially when it’s such a demanding field. What would Nurses do without there assistants- they make the job so easy for them. Whenever the workload is not equal to the pay you have to reevaluate your situation. It brought her joy to care for patients and give them life but she said she took on task as a registered nurse, cared for 10 plus patients a day, not only assisting the nurses but the doctors and other health professionals. So much more comes along with the job aside from keeping the patient healthy and at the end of the day she was burnt out and still wasn’t financially stable, she felt like she was giving more than she was receiving.
