Personal Experience: My Experience At Job Corps
Since I’ve been at Job Corps, the food has been almost always an issue. Many times the food is downright terrible. The food is either bland, burnt, or not cooked all the way. The rare times when the food is good, it is not in enough quantity to make sure everyone gets it.
Sometimes after eating the breakfast I become sick. I cannot imagine you are aware of the food issues. I would ask that you to keep a close watch on how the food is prepared and make sure it is well-seasoned.
Please contact me at (810) 335-1221 to learn more about my experience. Thank you for your time.

Every day at camp we are woken up and we walk from our bunks to the dining hall where, after raising the flag, we go to breakfast. Meals are very important at camp since they come with some very important traditions. Although the food isn’t that great, sometimes downright disgusting, meals are always something that every camper looks forward to. At every meal we are greeted by the roar of campers and counselors alike as everyone sings songs, bangs food trays…

I have the experience of volunteering for two times. Both schools that I went to are very poor school as most of students come from neighbor countries such as Myanmar and Cambodia, whom their parents immigrate illegally to Thailand for working opportunity. Also the school director tries to help this children by give them opportunity to study without tuitions fee, which is make financial support from the government is not enough. Therefore, my friends and I went to give the necessary stuffs such as sport facilities and some amount of money that my friends and I did the donation from kind-hearted people. We also educated them in various topics such as teach them English daily use sentences and basic economics in term of how to saving. The reason that I choose to teach them how to saving is I found that their family financial status is not good, so it is necessary for them to use money correctly and make sure that they will not overspending.…

When I had first volunteered at a preparatory school as a teacher’s assistant, I was thrilled and excited. I enjoyed working with children and I admit, was slightly disillusioned with expectations that the children would be dutiful and effortless to watch over. Unfortunately, all my prior imaginations crashed the second I entered the classroom. Everywhere I saw, it was pure chaos. I dodged a flying crayon as I saw children running around throwing paper airplanes, balls, while others just stared at their iPads, focused on the latest game. Not a single one of them even listened to me or glanced at me as I tried to yell over the loud chatter.…

Carefully, with a shaky hand, I successfully inserted an insulin pump into my left thigh. I counted every carbohydrate I ate and timidly calculated my carbohydrate/insulin ratio. The liquid I was distributing throughout my body was not in fact insulin, but saline. Volunteering as a diet aide at Camp Carefree, a children’s summer camp for type one diabetics, gave me the opportunity to know what it felt like to step into these innocent children’s shoes.…

I never actually attended UConn as a degree student. Although it is true that I enrolled late in the summer of 2009, it was only for the briefest amount of time. I enrolled late at UConn because unforeseen financial issues in my family made attending the other schools I was accepted into a terrible idea. However, quickly after enrolling I came to the realization that I had no concise plan of action towards a specific degree. I was enrolled in a mishmash of different classes that did not take me towards any direction. Therefore, I decided to drop the courses I was enrolled in, and instead work full time and save money to pay for college on my own. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to me, some kind of error must have occurred in this process. I thought…

According to William Moller in his essay “We, the Public, Place the Best Athletes on Pedestals,” sports fans are a huge factor in athletes steroid usage and we tend to turn a blind eye to the obvious substance abuse because we want them to be the best. On the other hand they know what choices they are making when using illegal substances and the consequences that follow.…

You will read a bunch of letters that all consist of the exact same thing. They will either say how they feel like joining the Peace Corps will make them a better person, and how they really want to help others. But the truth is, everyone does and no doubt it will make you a better person or at least change your way of thinking. I am going to end up sitting here trying to convince you why you should accept my application to join the Peace Corps.. I will try to plead my case by saying how I grew up with a terrible background that involved emotional, and physical abuse, drugs, hospital, and prison visits and that is why I want to help others out by making it so they don’t have to grow up the way I did.…
