It was on July 27 2014 when Koko gave birth to a healthy baby boy, it was the most wonderful day of my life I smiled and cried tears of joy as I held my son for the first time; we named our son Apisi after Koko’s Great grandfather.
The area around the museum began to bloom tribal members would flock from all over on Tuesdays and Friday and turn the grassy area beside the museum into a makeshift farmers market and would sell and exchange goods, and on really busy days we would erect a stage and do tribal dances for tourist and travelers driving by who decide to stop to see what was going on.
I with the help of a group of friends and family started up a small daycare nearby, so that the kids could play together while the parents go enjoy the shopping or the museum it was nice to see our son Apisi playing with the other children. Somedays I still have a hard time believing that this all worked out how I went from a lonely man working in the duty free shop to one day being part of a big community and being part of a wonderful family. I guess it shows that when you become inspired you should jump on it while it lasts and great things can come of
