from returning into the house to obtain the things that they thought they needed. When my family and I had gotten to the hotel we had to stay at, I texted my director to tell him about the incident and asked him to also inform the music director of what had happened. They both responded very quickly with offers for assistance if I needed anything, and to tell me that I didn’t need to go to rehearsals the next day.The next morning when rehearsals came around, I showed up late while they were telling the rest of the cast what had happened. Everybody was surprised I was there, but for me it was expected. This is because I believe in perseverance. When I think of perseverance, I think of the ability to do what is expected even when having to overcome obstacles and barriers that may come with them. This is something that I have naturally learned to adapt to with the obstacles being thrown at me in my everyday life. I know that everybody has just as many problems as I do, some even worse than me, but I think what sets me apart is that I am able to go through my daily life without feeling the need to publicly announce what is going on, or trying to receive pity from others around me when it isn’t needed. Sometimes we all encounter issues that require us to search for assistance, but no matter what obstacles come my way, I’ll always give my best to not let anything stop me from doing what is expected of me.
