Personal Narrative: Arizona Falls-Iowa Falls
Iowa Falls - Iowa Falls is a small town with about 5,000 people living in it and around it. This is a town where everybody knows everybody and word spreads like a wildfire. This place was where I was raised and where I grew up. Although I wouldn’t consider this home I do consider this my childhood. After all this small town did treat me pretty good and left some memories with me that will never be forgotten. This town is small enough that it wouldn’t take longer than 10 minutes to get from one part of town to the other. The community was very tight and everyone there had a good connection with everyone else around them. Nothing there went unnoticed and nothing was forgotten. People there were typically very friendly and usually respected …show more content…

You are able to make tons of money because of the long days you work, which can be very hard but are surely worth it at the end. My job at the fair involved working with tons of nice young people and involved the opportunity to people watch and deal with all the weirdos that went to the fair. My job was the infamous Barkesdale’s Cookies and the “greatest” chocolate chip cookies.

Joe - Let’s be honest everyone has that younger brother that is annoying because they are more immature than you. But there isn’t anything that I wouldn’t do for Joe, my younger brother, and there isn’t anything he wouldn’t do for me. He understands me and I understand him and we both respect each other. Joe is the one that always drives me to become at not only sports but anything that he likes. We are both very competitive and we both never want to lose. So this willingness to become better them him drives us both to become better at everything that we do. Joe also is very supportive and willing to do anything. It doesn’t matter what time of day it is or what he is doing there isn’t anything I can’t ask him to do that he wouldn’t do and that is something that is very valuable and rare to find in

As someone who has lived in Cumberland House, Saskatchewan and Terrace, British Columbia, this wasn't my first Pow Wow. I will say I don't remember going to any in Cumberland House as I was only two when we lived there, but I there are quite a few funny pictures of me, a chubby blond haired blue eyed baby in my pink jacket sitting among all the brown skinned, brown eyed, and black haired Native babies. I do however remember going to Pow Wows in Terrace. These two places are very different from each other, the Costal peoples having very different traditions from the Plains peoples.…

Last summer my family and I saw niagara falls, we put on yellow raincoats and rode on a tour boat, maid of the mist , up the river below the falls. As the water thundered around them, the guide told them that Anna Taylor a daring schoolteacher was the first person to ever ride over Niagara Falls in a barrel. My stomach turned upside down as I imagined her plummeting over the edge. Then I thought of our own teacher going over the falls in a barrel, I laughed out…

I didn’t really do much over the summer. We went to Indiana beach, and I am not too fond of roller coasters, or any ride for that matter, except for at water parks. Last year in 7th grade we went to Washington D.C and saw the washington monument, lincoln memorial, we went inside the Capitol building, The Changing of the Guard at Arlington cemetery, saw The White House. That didn’t really interest me, I don’t even have any souvenirs! Even earlier in the year, we went to Buffalo, New York. We saw a football game (the team we were rooting for lost,(TO THE JETS!) and we got to see Niagara Falls.…

Every year, my family on my dad’s side goes rafting down the Truckee river. It has always been a tradition to go to tahoe over the summer, and go rafting one of those days. Over the years, we have had many fond memories, like water fights with water guns, and pushing people into the water. First, we go down to the place to rent the raft, they set up our family with two, and then we go down the river until there is a bend where they take you and your raft out. At the end of the place where you can raft, there is a little grill that we would go to for lunch.…

I did not grow up in a single town; I actually grew up in seven different towns, in four different states and two different countries. I was born in Cleveland, Ohio. I grew up in Biloxi, Mississippi; Warner Robins, Georgia; Albuquerque, New Mexico; Ottawa, Ontario; Dayton, Ohio; Adana, Turkey; and Beavercreek, Ohio. In all of the places I have lived, I lived on the Air Force Base, because my mom is in the Air Force, except in my current residence Beavercreek, I live off base. When I lived on Air Force bases, the community I was in was close. There were many times that my brothers and I would be playing on a friend’s lawn or walking over to another neighborhood to visit other friends. The houses we lived in, depended on what rank my mother…

Job fairs are now becoming more and more common in all organizations and industries. A job fair is a lot more than just an information source; they are used for a lot of different reasons. For many corporate organizations, a job fair offers an opportunity for many people to get many interviews in one day. As people come to a booth, they are assessed immediately. If you stay for 30 seconds or 20 minutes, the whole time is an opportunity for the employer to get to know potential employees and also to rule out certain applicants, for example some of Google’s departments won’t even look at your resume/application unless you have take Ivy at a university. So that brings me to the next point, unless you are completely prepared to present yourself in a way that is professional then a job fair might be a waste of time. When you approach a booth, the employer will look at your appearance and basically judge you base on the first 30 seconds. So it is recommended that you do your homework before attending a job fair.…
