Personal Narrative: Double Crate
Stripe arrived last night! I do not know if I will abe able to meet though. We are going to go with the flow of the moment. Talked about how he arrived. E arrived in a double crate, which is a standard practice for small primates, but it was incredibly difficult to get him out. At one point he started to naw the zip ties in a slight panic. She said that it was difficult to see as it was really dark.
Danny's birthday is today! He is 11.
They will be uprooting plants by Howlers for a while to fix a plumbing issue.

Before we left, Rebecca asked about Stripe’s paperwork. Debbie said that it was still with the crate at the Tamarin Complex. She said that she would grab and bring it back down before it got too late.

Went to complete our rounds. When

It was really funny because he was bogarting his cake and was trying to keep it all away from Kasih. Well she is a pretty smart girl and chased him until she got it from him. She made him drop it to day so, but the funny thing was watching try to break the cake before he got over to her. He also got all of the goods off of the cake before she got to it. It was just so funny to watch the two of them trying to keep the cake for themselves. But I think that it was time for her to get a little something because he has been forcing copulations with her over the last couple of weeks. There is a theory with the keepers that they suspect the he does that when he is not feeling well and gets crabby with everyone to the point where he needs to force his dominance on someone.
As we were leaving, I found out that I was going to be passed off to Danyelle to help her out with cleaning while Debbie was working with the Howlers. So I finished cleaning at Monkey Village, we tag teamed the cleaning, and then was passed off to Danyelle to clean the Mandrill portion of the night house. Danyelle also asked me to clean the extra holding stalls both inside the night house and outside of the night

    1. I choose to 5S my backpack because it had been causing small annoyances in my everyday life. For example, I would spend an unnecessary amount of time looking for a writing utensil, my keys, or wallet. This became a problem when I needed to find these items in a hurry. I also had trouble finding papers (and nametags) I needed in the main part of my bag, because there were many unlabeled folders and papers scattered around.…

I was a camp counselor at Camp Wabikon ‒ a co-ed overnight summer camp located in Temagami, Ontario for children who are 6-15 years of age. Along with teaching Red Cross swimming and lifesaving and Tennis, I was my cabin's 'parent' for six weeks. Therefore, I was present with the children at all times. In essence, I was the leader of my cabin's the physical, social and mental development. The main things I learned were the importance of time management and organization , as I had to plan lessons for swimming and Tennis while taking care of my cabin; conflict resolution between campers; and the ability to plan and foresee events (I had to plan camp-wide events and activities for all campers).…

It was finally November 17th and the first morning of two-a-day basketball practice. I had been looking forward to the season and was fixed on finding a spot in the starting lineup. Despite my determination, I was out of shape after having been home sick for the past month. During one of the drills I became very light-headed and fell and hit my head on the hard-wood court. Immediately, I jumped up and tried to continue practicing. I finished the practice and made my way to first hour with a dizzying and distracting brain-spike. I fought through the rest of the day and immediately went to sleep when I arrived at home that afternoon. That next morning I woke up to the thunderous sound of my alarm, but as soon as I opened my eyes I saw the…

“Graduation, the hush-hush magic time of frills and gifts and congratulations and diplomas.” You weren’t lying when you said that Maya Angelou. May 19th, 2013 I had dreamt of that day for almost four years. I know I can’t be the only person who feel this way. I remember it as if it was just yesterday. So many different emotions going through my mind all at once. Happiness, Sadness, I felt relieved because it was almost over but at the same time I felt anxious and overly excited to just leave and go far away. 389 seniors were going to walk across the stage and receive their diplomas. After all, our class had the biggest percentage of graduates who were actually…

As I was writing my personal narrative for my composition 1 class, it easily made my mind boggle. After I had got started on my personal narrative, it was easy for me to keep writing and keep following along the story line. The main strength of mine that the essay played to was my creativity and my flexibility for different writings, because I have never written an essay as serious and sad as this one, but I did have to add my happy ending when I finished the story. I wanted it to be very attention grabbing with a twist, but I also wanted it to be very emotional.…

Tired, with a headache, and not in capacity to maintain my eyes open, I remembered next day was Halloween, which was the last thing I remembered before falling sleep. I woke up and saw the watch, it was three o’clock a.m. I listened to a weird sound that came from my closet; it was soft, but I could hear it like a rat scratching the walls. Intrigued about what was happening, I woke up and walked towards the closet. The sound gave me the chills.…

Starting from a place I remembered as a teen, moving from a place that was warm to a place that had all four seasons; such as winter, spring, summer and fall. The First place that I grew up was surrounded by mountains. During the winter it was full of white snow, something that I was never used to seeing coming from California where all one would see was sandy beaches and the waves clasping one another. As I remember being so new to Park City, UT all I could see was the wonderful views of trees, mountains and people skiing or snowboarding. I have to say this was a fond memory because for the firs time I was actually able to experience the feeling of what winter was…

My insider/outsider partner was Alicia Garcia. As you can tell by her last name she is Hispanic. I don’t have many Hispanic friends and I am not use to their culture. Starting on the project Alicia told me a little a bit about her heritage. One of the things I asked her was, “Do you celebrate the day of the dead?” I know that might seem like a crazy question to ask, but I the only thing that I truly knew about her culture is what I seen on TV. Alicia said that they do celebrate it to some extent. They don’t actually go to a grave site and light candles for their fallen relatives, but instead have a feast in honor of them. Alicia is the first generation American Hispanic.…
