Personal Narrative: Close The Door

Every morning, after I see Renji off to office, I close the grill door behind me ,put a chain around and lock it…
Having closed the grill door, I would leave the front door open so that there is good ventilation.
This morning since I couldn’t find the key to the lock, I just put the chain around the grill door and put the lock on it without actually locking it… What if I lock the automatic lock and can’t find the key. So I left it so.
I was sure that the chain around the door would give the impression that the grill door is locked and that it actually would serve the purpose.
Why I say so is..cause when I have done so earlier my house help would stand out the seemingly closed door ringing the door bell waiting for me to unlock and open the door
This morning after doing so again, as I turned in ,this thought came to me very strongly …Isn’t this the way enemy deceives?
People are quite often made by the enemy to stand behind the “seemingly” impenetrable bars and inescapable walls, being made to believe that this is all there is to life.He places a stronghold on the minds of people today- not just the people of the world but sadly the church folk also Like my househelp, we would stand and punch the doorbell making petitions all because we have not heard Him say, “Do not be afraid ... The key to power and authority was lost by Adam, but found by Jesus Christ. Our authority in the spiritual realm is based solely on our relationship with Jesus
The Bible is full of promises of power and authority to the Christian A Christian who never understands and uses the God given authority
becomes:
• Defeated Christian…. Every time I take a stand I get knocked down so I give up and will just lie here on the floor.
• Despair Christian….. I’ll never live in victory; I hear it preached; I see it in others lives; but there is no hope for me.
• Despondent Christian ….Oh well, Satan has been attacking me; I guess it was inevitable

Remember, our spiritual authority is not just a belief; it’s a certainty.
It is a legal reality that does not waver because of our unbelief, and is as real as any transaction.

FRIEND as we embrace this truth, we will be “determined “Christians – Overcoming and Victorious. Nothing that the enemy of our soul throws at us will deter us, slow us down, or cause us to give up, because we possess the keys of authority
