Volunteer Reflection The event I volunteered for was the Lubbock Lion’s Club Pancake Festival. The event took place on February 18, 2017 at the Civic Center in Lubbock. The event was an all day occasion; however, I worked a shift from 6:00-11:00 a.m. The Pancake Festival is an annual event put on by the Lubbock Lion’s Club to raise funds for the organization to use to give back to the community.

There was a registration open to sell tickets and to check-in volunteers at the event. Due to the fact that there were so many volunteers, we did not have nametags. I do not believe that there were any outside sponsors of the event. There was a band playing on stage for entertainment, as well as a clown, a lion mascot walking around, face painting, raffle tickets, and other activities for people to enjoy. I personally did not see any
