Ever since I was little, softball has been a huge part of my life and I am happy that softball has continued to play a role in my high school experience. The night we won the 2014 division 1 softball state championship is a night I will always remember and cherish. We ended a long season, where we worked hard every day, by going undefeated and winning the state championship game against Smithfield 8-2. This year was special to me not only because it was my first year as a varsity starter and we won the state championship, but because of how close the team was. As a team we made many memories during our undefeated season and during our trip to Disney. My 2014 high school softball season is a season I will never forget. Although 2014 stands out the most, I will always remember my softball career at North Kingstown High School. I might not be able to remember every base hit or every play, but I will always remember my teammates and how much fun we had. High school softball has also taught me many life lessons. I will never forget how poorly the seniors treated Taylor and I our freshman year, as we were two of the very few freshman that make a varsity team. The criticism that we received from the senior captains shaped Taylor and I into the captains we are today. Because of them, I always make sure to cheer for and encourage my teammates,
