Personal Narrative Essay On Becoming A Nurse
In school one sunny, hot, and humid morning in September about a week ago, my best friend Zoe came running up to me with her usual “brilliant idea,” little did I know she would convince me to do something bad and it turned my life around in a day... and not for the good. I need to stay in school as much as I can because, I want to become a nurse and to do that I need the best education I can get. But lately it hasn't been going like that. Zoe doesn't like school because she likes its gross smelly and it holds no interest for her, and because of that she tries to avoid it every day she can as much as she can. But of course, she doesn't want to skip alone so I get dragged along into her plans as well, getting me into more trouble than I planned for while being her friend.
Today was different for her though she seemed crazier in the morning when she walked up to me, Right away she blurted out
“Come with me to go to six flags it will be fun.”
I replied “NOW?” because I knew she had gotten me into so pretty bad trouble but skipping school was way worse. If my parents found out that I had left school with her the day after she just got her license and new car… well they wouldn't be happy, that’s for sure. After she explained that it was just one day of missing school so I wouldn’t

Before I knew it we had ran a red light, and we were going straight into the side of another car. It was all a blur until the police and the ambulance showed up and were everywhere. Turns out I was fine besides I had gotten either a big headache or a small concussion but I couldn't tell at that very moment, and Zoe was fine too because the other car got hit worse, the person in the other car not so much, he has a collapsed lung and some fractured bones. That was all we could tell before I got to go home because my parents had come to pick me

I have decided to lean to nursing as a career for many reasons. The main reason i decided to turn to this field of work was feeling the need to help people in a way that my younger brother was helped when he was in out of hospitals. During this time i joined the voulanteer morton fire department to get a grasp and sense of working under pressure while remaining calm. Alot of the times i noticed ifyou are in a flusttered sense of mind it is best to leave the situation to someone who is more capable then end up causeing the situation to get much worse possibly causeing someone to get hurt or death. Later on when i began attending south plains i attended and became vice president of the star center student organization for a short period of time…

My duty as a nurse is to promote good and do no harm and respect the patient as the most basic and universal principle. According to the code, my most fundamental accountability is to the patient. In addition, it is my duty to make the most wise and ethical decisions for what is best for the organization. As a leader, I am self-aware of my values and basic beliefs about the rights, duties and goals of human beings. Unfortunately, here utilitarianism of what is best for the common good outweighs what is best for the individual. Mr. Cole has the right to leave against medical advice and it saddens me the issues they may face being denied home health care, however, it is not justified to withhold information from the physician. I could be risking…

The paramedics quickly park the hospitals truck near the emergency entrance and take out the child immediately. They rush them through the double doors, the parents want to come with them to see what's wrong with the their 3 year old daughter, but the receptionist stops them and tells them they have to sit down and wait just like everyone else. The mother starts crying and the father tries to calm her, she starts crying even louder because she's scared. As a child, I always pondered on what I wanted to become when I became older and in sixth grade I was determined to become a Pediatric Nurse. I adore helping children and parents and working at a hospital has been a dream of mine. Along the way of deciding what I should become I had no ideas such as becoming a lawyer, neonatal nurse or an actress. I soon realized that a few of my future dreams were unrealistic or did not interest me as much now as they did when I was younger. Pediatric nurses involve them in interacting with patients that vary in illnesses and age, requires them to have strong communication and numerous years of education and training.…

Do you ever find it hard to figure out where they are hiring ? or finding a job that suits your needs? if you answered “yes” to either of these questions, there is a skill called “networking”. So, you must now be asking yourself what is networking? As it states in a website called definitions.net, networking means “To take steps to make and cultivate the acquaintance of people who can be helpful to oneself, especially in finding new employment, advancing to a higher position in one's occupation, or exchanging information.” (GCIDE,5). This skill can be a very easy way to find a job, networking can be done either by face to face, gatherings, or contact methods such as email, phone, social and/or business networking websites. The gatherings can take place at a bar, restaurant, club or even the library. This is not a way to meet a new friend or a mate. People will give you their numbers to be in contact for business purposes only! The moment you try to get in contact with someone emotionally, there is no returning back. You will not be allowed to socialize or be a part of the networking system again. In the last few days, I’ve tried to network with my classmates from…

My mom taught me to live by the Golden Rule; do unto others as you would have them do unto you. I have lived by this rule all my life. I have never had a problem getting along with others and treating them with respect until I started my nursing career as an LPN. I started working at the local hospital, working night shift. I really enjoyed going into work, helping the patients with their needs. I enjoyed visiting with them and finding out what would make their stay better. Then one day the supervising nurse in charge of the floor took me aside and told me to stop visiting with the patients. I was thinking to myself okay there has got to be a good reason behind this. She told me the patients need their sleep and they don’t need me to visit with them and keep them awake.…
