“I made it, in three events,’’ a thought in my head. I wasn’t alone though, it wa my team including the girls, head coach Mr. Jefferies, and boys coach Mr. Heinrich. We had a 4 by 100 team including Mia Voss, Calyn Garza, Dana Clarke, and Brittany McClain, there was an alternate named Jalyn Haynes but also an 8th grader named Tayler Main qualified in a 200 meter dash. There were a lot of kids there that day, an average of about 900 kids or more. After we all showed up at the school to wait for Mr. Jefferies to bring his car around the front of the parking lot to take us too East Peoria, Illinois. My team had went back home. But I stayed at a motel that didn’t have the best ratings. As I got up early to get to the field, as my team was already there. I went to our tent and there was Macdonalds for the team there sitting there. My events were coming up and I had to get ready for them. My whole team was warmed up to race. I had to run first, then it was the 4 by 100 team, and then it was Taylor Main and 200 meter dash. We walked together inside the field, and we headed to our events that were coming up.
This event was one of my best accomplishments in my entire life, and I hope to make it back next year. I learned that they’re so many talented kids that accomplished that same goal, I had so hard tried to get. ``I made it, in three events,’’ I had thought to myself. I was with my coaches MR. Jefferies, Mr. Heinrich. My team was a 4 by 100 team including Mia Voss, Dana Clarke, Jaylen Haynes, Calyn Garza, and alternate Brittany McClain. Also 200 meter dash qualifier Taylor Main. There were a lot of kids at that track that day, and it was awesome. So that is my personal narrative for when I made it too
