I never realized how much of my time baseball took up and for the rest of the summer I was bored out of my mind. I thought about baseball a lot after the loss and if I wanted to continue with the game I loved so much. I went back and forth with my decisions throughout the fall and winter seasons. The biggest influence on my decision was my big brother Kevin. Kevin was a big role model to me and is a big reason why I am the way I am today. I got a ton of inspiring advice from him and his main reason for believing in me and wanting me to continue is he knew I had what it took to compete at the next level and maybe one day play in the MLB. Without my brother I don't think I would of stayed with baseball which could have changed my who I am today. The game against Easton really set the tone for my team and we only got better from there, winning almost every game that summer and most importantly we won Districts with little to no competition, but that didn’t mean we could just try and breeze by with no effort but we knew that and played our game. I fully believe baseball is the best sport and has made me into the great young man I am today. It taught me integrity, humbleness, appreciation and most importantly how to deal with failure. I sometimes sit back and try to think about what life would be like without baseball and I simply can not. Baseball has had such a big impact on my life I can’t imagine life without it or what I would do with my free time. The thing I love most about baseball is the love-hate relationship everybody has with it. Nobody has a perfect relationship with baseball, everybody questions the love they have for it at least twice a season and the only difference between the greats and normal players is the great’s stayed with it and worked on their craft instead of taking the easy way and just giving
