I thought it was full of magic and mysteries. Sometimes I would sit in there all of lunch and recess, and read Harry Potter. My friends thought it was strange, but I loved it, so no one ever questioned me. Reading was my escape from all the ridiculous elementary school drama. I felt, and still do feel a surge of energy rush through my brain when I read. My teachers even let me read in class when I had finished my work. Mrs. Mandola, my third grade teacher, made a huge impact on my life. She taught me about the world and the people in it. If it wasn’t for Mrs. Mandola, I wouldn’t be the outgoing person I am today. Every day I was met with a new set of people, who I had never seen before. There are not enough words to describe how amazing my public school journey was for me. It shaped me into the person I am today, and I can’t imagine my life if I had stayed at private
