Personal Narrative-It's Vocabulary
Jared is driving home with the unconscious body of a college girl in his car. His next victim. He met her at a frat party that he snuck into. It wasn't hard, all he had to do was wear a polo shirt and bring a six pack and he was in. Of course, he had to act the part as well. It wasn't too difficult, though. He just had to incorporate a lot of 'dude's and curse words into his vocabulary. Jared is an average looking guy with dark brown hair and a medium build. He works at an office job and keeps a low profile. He's a quiet guy and usually keeps to himself, especially his hobbies. Some people enjoy playing Saturday night poker, while others like to fish. Jared's hobbies are a little different than others. He likes to meet up with random girls, …show more content…
It takes him a minute to remember what happened. His head is throbbing and his body is sore. It feels like his stomach is on fire. He looks down at it and sees a large shard of glass covered in blood stuck in his stomach. He tries to unbuckle his seatbelt but he can’t move. Just as he tries again to move his arm, the driver side window shatters.
“He’s alive! Get the stretcher!” a deep voice shouts.
Jared looks over to the window and sees a couple of men using a large tool to open the door. He tries to wiggle out of his seat but it hurts too much to move. Just then bright lights flood into the car and shines in his eyes. He can’t see a thing but feels himself being lifted onto something. Jared starts to fade in and out and closes his eyes.
His eyes open and there’s figures standing above him. It’s too bright to see anything else, but he hears what they’re saying.
“He needs more oxygen, and make sure there’s enough pressure on his stomach.” a man says.
He tries to move his head to look around.
“Sir, keep your eyes on me, okay? Try to focus on me. Can you hear me?”
Jared opens his mouth to reply. A wimpy ‘ah’ is all he can

One cough turns into two which turns into a large fit. He tastes blood in his throat and feels warmth around the outside of his mouth.
“Oh god, he’s coughing up blood. There’s some internal damage, we need to get him to an ER stat.”
Jared’s eyes start to feel heavy and he drifts off once again.
He wakes up tied to a post. He jerks his arms but he can’t get free.
“Wakey, wakey, little Jared.” A young woman’s voice says.
He looks around. He’s in his basement. His tools are evenly spread out along a plastic table. He hears footsteps and turns his head. In front of him is the college girl with her arms crossed and holding his favorite straight razor.
Jared looks down at his stomach. No glass, no blood, no nothing.
“It took you a while, didn’t it? You came to eventually, though. Thank god, or else I wouldn’t be able to have my fun.”
“Wh-what are you doing? How did you do this?” Jason’s voice growls.
“What? You think you’d get away with this? Of course not, dear. Not even close.”
The college girl slowly walks towards him, kneeling to his face.
“Poor Jared, so messed up and broken.”
Jason’s heart pounds. “You shut up!”
The college girl stands up and looks behind her. “Oh, ladies!” she

With white knuckles, rigid muscles and shallow breaths, I drove down the winding road with its faded lines and crumbling shoulders. Just as Okeke rushed to his vehicle, the rain started to pour down as if it were trying to stop him. In the back of his mind he was still left with questions that would once in a while come up. It was too late now as his mind was set on seeing his family. The dark, gloomy sky filled his pain with even more remorse. He couldn’t tell where it was coming from exactly, it wasn’t leaving anytime now. The storm brewed as Okeke drove without any intent of stopping and slow his speed. A sudden sharp pain hit his heart like thunder to ground. His face grew weary and tense and the ever growing pain made the man’s vision sluggish like the fog. He was broken, still his left hand on the wheel. A sudden faint object leapt over the front of his hood, nearly colliding with the car, startling Okeke to gain control and pass his pain for the time being. As the hours passed he finally arrived to…

Conrad jumps swiftly into the drivers side of the rusted, orange-tinted car and sinks into the ripped up cloth seats. Jeannine scoots over as she rubs her old, washed out blue jeans against the seat and pulls her feet in, as they clonk onto the floor, small groups of dust rise like a puff from a cigarette. As Conrad turns the keys they rattle softly and the engine roars like an angry lion. As they slam their doors shut, there is a loud boom as the radio blares through the speakers, which causes Conrad and Jeannine to jump back in their seats. They strap in their seatbelts and listen for the familiar click, then slump back into the seats, as the thin strands of air slip through the small tears in the seats from the pressure.…

Then just out of nowhere Dale, with all his arm strength turned the wheel all the way to the left defying the gravity of the car. He drifted Derp almost out of the corner of the street with me holding on for dear life. I could just picture my face; wide smile, hair everywhere, one hand holding tight on the seatbelt strap and the other outside the window fighting the mighty pressure of the air. And then it all just became a blur as everything came so fast and then just stopped at a split second. There was a minute of a haze of headlights, a series of extreme blasting of horns, tires screeching and curses from the other driver. The driver didn’t get out but instead just drove away fast like he was driving a getaway vehicle.…

When I came to senses I did not remember anything, not even what day it was, or why I was in the car. As minutes went by I began to consider the gravity of the situation, as my despair as well. Fully awake and angry still I could not move, my shoulder was hurting and something was obfuscating my sight and it was not the rain—I later discovered that it was my own blood. At some point I turned my head to the right and saw an old man standing right outside my car’s broken window pushing a…
