Just Rearranging the Drawers Mom
I must have been no more than two when I decided that I could help mom. We lived in a three room apartment and from my room you had to go across the living room, down a short hallway and you were in the kitchen. Well mom knew that when dad was away at work the apartment was very still and quiet so as she worked in the kitchen she would check the clock on the wall and keep one ear out for me. Well she knew that if there was silence for a whole fifteen minutes then I had found something to really occupy myself with. The only question was what could a two year old have found of real interest to do? So mom would head for my room. There I was busy helping her rearrange my dresser drawers. Until I was three years old, I was having fun as a toddler by myself. Although, a month before my fourth birthday, I received a beautiful baby sister named Kinsley Ann Kemper. Little did I know that within about nine years she was going to become an ornery child. When she was little, my parents had to set rules for me to follow because they knew that I could follow the rules that they gave me, while they were taking care of Kinsley. Also, when I was three, I started to go to dance. My first year of dance, I got an award for the dancer of the year, which made me very overjoyed and excited at the same time. I can still remember…

This happened when I first moved to Kansas. It was the middle of summer and there were no kids around close to my age so I was alone. First i named some roses that were in my front lawn and drew pictures with them of crappy looking rabbits because that was all I knew how to draw. my mom came home one day and I ran up to her and showed her the pictures, saying "And this one rosy drew, and this one Rosetta drew and this one I drew." when I was done my mom said clearly not understanding that they were not real "what house do your friends live in?" Like the dumb kid i was i responded "oh they don't have a house they live in our front yard." Extremely confused and probably creeped out my moms said "can i meet these friends?" It was then I told…

When it comes to school, I guess you could say that my mom was a bit of a nerd. She was extremely smart and exceeded in every class. She went to a Catholic school until fourth grade. She said, about this school, “Not much happened here, I was placed in Reading and Math groups by myself, and no, I was never hit with rulers over the knuckles by the nuns, if you were wondering.” In middle school, she was placed in an advanced class and by the time she left she was finished with all her required high school math classes. She was also inducted into the National Junior Honor Society where she held the office of Secretary. In high school, since she was a big nerd, she took college level math courses and AP in all other classes. She also played…

If I were to leave home forever and could go anywhere, I would go to Hawaii. I honestly couldn’t imagine only being able to take one medium size suitcase since I’m not known to be a light packer. However, if I were only be able to take a medium sized suitcase, the first thing I would pack is a swimsuit, swim cap and shammy. No matter where I would be going, I know that I would find somewhere to dive so I would need my dive gear. I would also bring a reusable water bottle and sunglasses since Hawaii is a tropical place and hydration is very important. I would bring necessities in a small cosmetic bag, such as a toothbrush and toothpaste along with hair products, a necessity since I have curly hair. Next I would bring all…
