My first major setback was when I broke my ankle at the beginning of football season. This was my first time ever breaking a bone and it happened right before our first game. The hardest thing about it was not being able to play and having to watch every game. The second hardest thing was that I could not workout so I got out of shape. This experience made me realize that I need to work really hard in order to get back to they way I was. It also helped me see how blessed i am to be able to heal properly and keep playing. …show more content…
The greatest challenge I ever faced was when I found out I had ADD(Attention Deficit Disorder).
Throughout school I always struggled with staying focused and getting good grades. When I was in 8th grade my doctor said that I had ADD and that they were going to give me pills that will help me focus. I remember when my parents told me what it was I was really embarrassed. I honestly didn’t know what to think at first i was just really upset and felt as if there was something wrong with me. So after the first couple days of taking the pills everything felt a lot easier. I was able to focus a lot better in school, my grades were going up, and my test scores were getting a lot better. This challenge has helped me to become a better
student.
Lastly, this past summer I gained 30 pounds. When football started up I was a lot slower than before and got tired quicker. In order for me to keep a starting spot on the football team I had to bust my tail to earn it. This experience is making me push myself harder than before and now I am back at the same speed as last year but 30 pounds heavier.
Challenges are just things you have to overcome to become the best you that you can be. I know that i have a lot more challenges ahead of me but i am ready to accomplish them.
