I think (believe) that this learning experience help R to understand waiting toys by taking turns. And also show R to share our toys with others. Sharing is able to help children establish and strengthen a sound relationship with friends.
Short-term review:
I can see that through his play has understanding of the culture of the center, I am so happy to see that how R would like to make his music and melody, which have been influenced by center.
R is going to develop his communication skills, fine motor skills and creativity through music as creativity music put him transform ideas and melody into music. R also improves his social skills through playing homemade instruments, because he knows the important of sharing toys. Due to this learning experience, he will have a wider understanding of homemade instruments such as pans. This can explain through Te Whariki of exploration, and this is able to develop the knowledge that playing with ides and materials, with no objective in mind, can be an enjoyable, creative and valid approach to learning (Ministry of
Education,1996).
What next?
R was showing the understanding and interested in playing instruments, and I think that there is one (an) idea that we can extent his interest next time, which would be important to provide a new instrument for R to play such as a mini accordion. To further explore by showing about the process of playing accordion and the tone of accordion. This will help R to lengthen his interest.
