Originally, as seen in the annotated bibliography, (as seen in Appendix A) I planned to do a weekly plan of all the tasks that I had to complete that week (as seen in Figure two). However, I quickly realised, I did not flexibility with this approach, my weeks became extremely tedious and repetitive, which ultimately meant that I would not follow the plan. I instead developed the aforementioned daily plan which gave me more flexibility, as day by day, I could develop the plan in association with what needs to be done. As some mind numbing tasks have an effect on a person, it meant that I was also able to accommodate to what I was mentally able to do that day. I did however, maintain the colour scheme, and the layout of the original learning plan, which meant it was easy to see what types of tasks needed to be completed (as seen in figure one),…

Compared to building pools in the heat of the summer, working in an air conditioned building is heaven. The best job I've ever had was working as a dealer at Ace's Casino. What I liked so much about my job was I could manage my hours, work around my schedule. The money was good enough to raise my kids on my own and give them a nice home. Going into work and being able to meet all the diverse people was really interesting, which is great for networking and meeting new friends. Finally, when I would get off of work in the morning, I usually wouldn't be that tired so I can stay up and spend some time with my girls before I headed off to bed.…

At the age of 12, my sister was diagnosed with Type 1, Juvenile Diabetes. I was only 7 years old, so I didn’t really understand what happened. All I can remember is crying because my sister was in pain and I hated to see her laying in that hospital bed. Every month we had to take a trip to Duke Children’s Hospital for her to see the diabetes specialist. For the most part, she keeps it under control and wears an insulin pump to take her medicine. After that experience, I considered my sister a warrior. As with my brother, I admired my sister. I wanted to do everything she did. She got good grades in school and stayed out of trouble for the most part. There were a couple of calls home, but it was because she wanted to hang with the wrong people.…

Most teenagers do not have a clue about what they want to be when they grow up. Most young adults also do not know where their path is in life. Even some full-blown adults are still trying to figure out their purpose. I was lucky. I knew exactly where I belonged from about the time I was seven up until now, at the decently young age of nineteen. I do not see my path changing anytime soon; in fact, I know it will never change. But, I did not just wake up one day as a child and know what my path was, while that would be impressive. Defining moments in one’s life defines who they are. There were lots of things I experienced in my life that made me realize my purpose, my absolute passion. I had four of these defining moments in my short span of…
