Personal Narrative: My Electronic Scooter
On Christmas morning, I awoke excited and ready to open my presents. I ran downstairs and saw a huge box in red and green wrapping paper. As soon as I unwrapped the present, I knew exactly what it was, an Electronic Scooter. It was on the top of my wish list and I asked everyone for it. My mom explained to me that before I used my scooter I needed to wear safety gear, such as knee pads and a helmet. She also said to wait to put it together until she could help me. Later on in the day, I was so excited, that I could not wait another second to ride my scooter. I quickly opened the box and started to put it together. I brought it outside and tested it in the driveway, and along the sidewalk in front of my house. As I started to go faster, the

My choice has got me bruised, fractured and, or almost clean breaks. My choice is bull riding. When I was 10 I started to ride. My first ride I hung on and got 2nd place. I thought it was so fun and easy that I would try it with no gear because I got beginner's luck. So the next rodeo was my keiki rodeo and I thought I could ride it.... 3 seconds went by and I got stepped on my hand and back. I had been checked out by the ambulance and ice packed. I thought just because it happened one time it wouldn't happen again. So I tried riding with only chaps so my legs would get as sore. So my next keiki rodeo I hung on for 6 second, which means I made my time, but just as I heard the buzzer ring with a loud "brapppphhh" I flopped over onto my back…

The day I took off on my 4 wheeler, and left my Mom and Dad in the dust. It started out awesome and fun, then turned out to be very scary. It was July 4, 2013, my family and I loaded up our 4 wheelers for a fun day in the great outdoors. We all unloaded our 4 wheelers, then took off out into the desert. I wanted to see how fast I could go around the sharp corners on dirt roads. It was so much. I was having so much fun seeing how fast I could drive my 4 wheeler, around the sharp dirt road corners, I never looked back.…

Climbing into the lime green car, my fear was over taking me. I was getting ready to ride the Titan, an adrenaline pumping roller coaster ride at Six Flags. It was easily the scariest ride at the park, in my opinion, with its enormous peaks, its deep descents, and double helix like turns was enough to make me sick. The ride began. Ascending up in the car on the canary yellow track, into the humidity filled, bright sky, the people observing from below resembled little army ants . The aerial view of Dallas was breathtaking, as I reached the peak of the ride and looked around. Passengers occupying the cars in front of me started falling off, like a cliff. I let out a high-pitched shrill, as we plummeted toward the Earth below. Traveling…

I used to love reading. In kinder and first, my nose was stuck in a Magic Tree House book. Third, fourth, and fifth grade I basically lived at Hogwarts (in my rightfully sorted house, of course, I am a proud Hufflepuff). And in middle school, I discovered THE tween series of my generation, Maximum Ride. Reading was exciting, and even though I had done it for years every time I picked up a book it felt so novel. I was your ordinary bookworm until seventh grade when the joint power of Ms. Green’s teaching and James Patterson’s writing broke my will to read.…

When I first started learning how to ride a motorcycle I was very scared. After a while, I started to get the hang of it, but before I could become good, I crashed it into a barbed wire fence. I can still remember that day perfectly. It was a sunny summer weekend right before school started. My brother and I were taking turns riding it. My dad was mowing the lawn and my mom was at work. When it was my turn to ride it, I was doing okay until the second lap. The end of the second lap is where everything went bad. I was in the grass on the side of a hill. I remember getting closer and closer to the fence. I slowed the motorcycle down and put it in neutral, but I was still getting closer to the fence. I should have used the brakes, but at that…

My dad thaught me to ride blue bike. My bike was the coolest, most special, better than anyone else's bike in the whole world. I loved to look at it, riding it was another story entirely. Daddy loved to just do things. My first moments on my beautiful bike were filled with wind through my hair, my dad's hands on my back pushing hard as I'm hurling down through my backyard. There was a brief moment of joy but it's short lived because what I remember most is the frightening pain when I crashed into the dog pen. Daddy had not taught me to stop. I screamed from when he had let me go half way down the yard until he picked me up, brushed off the dirt, held me and apoligized for about five minutes. It was his fault, he made me do this, and I was going to make sure he knew that. After about 27 more times of this I finally got it, I finally could ride a bike.…
