Personal Narrative: My Experience In My Writing

The experience that I went through in this mini-mester course was challenging, yet intriguing. I was able to gain new techniques of how to professionally write an essay with an outline. An outline is a sheet of paper for you to write down your ideas. It is an easier way for me to plan for my essay, but the way how my mind jumps to many conclusions all at once is commonly frustrating. Normally, I would grab a random piece of paper and start writing my essay without doing an outline first. While I am writing my essay, my thoughts starts to collide with all of my ideas that I had planned on using first. Due to my thoughts colliding all at once, I am not able to focus and fluently write an essay without managing my time to get the essay done. The
outline is a wonderful idea to plot my thoughts in order. I enjoyed learning how to use an outline because it has showed me that there is always an easier way for you to remember your ideas without the need of rushing all your thoughts together. The three things that I learned that will help be become a better writer is: learning an argument essay, an outline, and how to do in-text citations. When I was doing the argument essay, I was completed lost on how to set my in-text citations in my essay, nor how to plot my ideas in the essay. As I was learning along the way of how to create my argument essay, the in-text citations goes right after the sentence to show credit to the author. At first, it is complicated to learn how to do write an essay, but I was able to learn it and understand it well by doing it multiple of times.
