Personal Narrative: My Experiences Of Patients With Dementia

I have had many experiences with residents getting upset when they can't remember or they just have outbursts where they cry and get upset. Many of the women who were housewives have loved when you ask them for help. They love folding laundry, cleaning such as dusting, eating, seeing pets, exercise, etc.
Another thing I have experienced is that people with dementia that is more advanced than others tend to love dolls. Someone who hasn't experienced this think I sound crazy sometimes but where I worked many of the ladies loved holding the dolls and would try to take care of them. I think that it made them feel like they have a purpose again and most women love babies.
