I am already creating examples in my life of how I used hard work,- which came from my long shifts at Checkers Pizza- and my dedication - from how religiously I set aside money specifically to help pay for college. I also want to be a role model in volunteering time to help others, I do this in a small way by using the knowledge I gain from business classes to help educate my family on how to be able to read their finances. I want to prove to my younger family members that it is possible to go to college and graduate no matter your circumstance. The route that my college career is going I will be able to show people that they need to prepare themselves for the hard work and dedication to be able to be in as little debt as possible. If any of my younger family members look up to me, like I hope they will in the future, I could then talk to them about all of the mental toles that come with procrastinating the process of preparing yourself for college. This has to do with how I prepared myself to be in debt. I knew to be able to make more money in my life I would first have to put myself in debt to get the experience needed for those good paying jobs. But with all of this preparation of saving up and making sure I go to the right school for me, it allows me to put myself in the best position for the future, that simple idea of putting yourself into the best place for the future is ultimately what I want to teach my younger family
