Personal Narrative: My First Soccer Team
It was the day before the first soccer game of the season, I was eating a protein bar and watching some vines on youtube. It was about 8:30 pm, I decided to go take a good shower. When I was done I got ready for bed. Then I dreamed.

It was a tie game 2-2. We were looking pretty rough, every player on our team looked exhausted. I was put on the right wing looking for an open opportunity at goal. We didn’t have much luck the other team kept playing the ball so well. Then I found a gap and our team passed the ball up the field, I trapped the ball and ran with all my speed right by the defenders, I took the shot and…

“Crap”, I said, I had just woken up at the good part of the dream. It was time to get out of bed. I made my way for the kitchen, I made myself a bowl of lucky charms to eat for breakfast. I wondered what time it was, I checked on the wall clock and the hands pointed to 7:42 am. Time to go do my chores.

The trash sure was piling up, I took the bag out of the trash can and brought it outside to the trash bin. The air was nice and cool, the birds were chirping and the sun was shining brightly. “What a great day for soccer”, I thought to myself. I went back inside to start on the dishes, I scrubbed at them for about 20 minutes and then went to my room. I checked instagram on my phone and saw I gained a few followers overnight. I was happy to see people liked my soccer

Everyone got in a line, and coach told us who was going to do the PKs. She called on Damien, Dominic, Evan, Bash, and me. Damien went up to the line while the other team's goalie got ready to block it. Damien kicked the ball right at the corner of the goal and the ball went in. We all cheered loudly and then waited tensely as Damien then got ready to be goalie. The other team's kicker went up to the line and kicked it right at Damien so he blocked it easily. Next, I was up to kick. I kicked it to the bottom left corner of the goal and…

My first year of storm soccer began in the 6th grade. I was nervous to start my first competitive soccer season. The thing that helped me out the most was that I knew we had a new coach in the program so we all were starting new. It was a really hot day. The scorching sun in the sky made it almost impossible to play. When we all got out the truck, we went to the field that we were supposed to play on. There was a game on the field. This meant that we got here early. Of course, most people would use that extra time to warm up. But for me, it was completely different. I sat on the bleachers. I was thinking deeply on my moves in order to bypass the defense. BEEP!!!!! The referee has blown the whistle to end the current game. The whistle snapped me out of what I was thinking. It was our turn to…

When I was ten years old I tried out for my local travel soccer team. I did not expect to make it, but by some stroke of luck I did. I started playing and it was not what I was expecting. In the past I averaged a hat trick every game, but travel soccer was a lot different. I started playing defense, but that might be an overstatement, because I did not get a whole lot of minutes. I knew that if I wanted to play more I was going to have to put in more work outside of practice. I started practicing everyday switching from running, to foot skills, to agility training. I probably spent more time complaining about it and there were a few time that my parents had to push me to practice, but I knew that I had to put in the work.…

Soccer, the sport I started playing when I was four years old. After almost 14 years of playing the sport I loved, we were playing Ocala Vanguard in the District tournament for my high school soccer team, Leesburg; if we lost it would be game over for me and my 15 other senior teammates. We knew we had to play strong just to have a chance against them, and oh what a game it was.…
