My First Weeks in Clincal
My experience in the hospital for my first clinical was very exciting and scary at the same time! The first day my patient had to have a surgical procedure done and of course, I was asked to go with the patient to the surgical waiting area. Thinking nothing of it, I go down with my patient, another student and the transporter. When we arrive in the prep room for surgery the nurse tells us to follow her so we can get scrubbed up for surgery. I was ecstatic. I go in the locker room change in to surgery gear and then head to the surgery room. There me and the other student go to watch the whole procedure from start to finish first hand. It was an amazing experience and one I will never forget.
