In order to achieve these ambitions in my life, I intend
My main goal is to go to college. I am looking at a degree in forestry. My next goal is to find a job in the career field of my choice. To do this I need to make sure that when I am in college, I am putting forth my best effort in my classes and networking with people in the field. These goals have to be reached for me to do well out in the real world. High school may seem like it doesn’t matter, but it does because in the end without high school, I wouldn’t be able to go on to college and then on to a job that I love to do and work. To make my family proud I want to graduate and go onto college, get my degree, and finally make a living in my career field choice.…
My current life time goal is to major in robotics so that I may gain an upper…
Being a senior this school year (2016) makes me set up my Goal to the highest level and make achieve it after graduation. But there are some long life goals I want to achieve throughout my life. My short term goal is to get top four rank in my class, get a job and get into a college. My long term goal is to become a pediatrics or OB Doctor.…
When first posed the questions of how do I fit in at a college and how my extracurricular activities and experiences would benefit the college, I was not sure where to begin writing. To be perfectly honest, I think I would be a good fit on almost any campus because I believe I am adaptable to my surroundings and have a solid foundation that would make me an asset anywhere in the nation. While the previous sentence may come across to readers as egocentric or egotistic, I’m puzzled at where to begin because I also don’t think I’m outstanding anywhere compared to my fellow students academically speaking. On the other hand, it is almost a forgone conclusion in my mind that I have experienced more in my years than the majority of my peers. Also, as a result of many of these experiences, I’ve been able to get a jump start in my field of choice compared to where anyone else in the nation going into my career would likely be. Overall, I would say I have…
When I first started my college education, I never would have thought that I would be where I am today. I transferred over to Temple University the spring semester of my freshmen year of college. I remember how frustrating those first couple month were for me as a college freshman. I had to adjust to a lot of new changes such as, a new campus, new people, new courses etc. I struggled a lot that semester but made through it with the help of the great professors and advisor. There were always great resources available to me no matter what needed. From then on I learned to manage my time and I knew how much work I had to put in to reach my goals. The next three undergraduate years were tough due to the rigorous coursework but I was able to…
I woke up one morning with the intention of wanting to do something crazy. Both the timing and the situation were perfect. I called my friends and then told them the plan. At first, they were hesitant but after a little peer pressure, they finally caved in.…
This process has taken more than twenty years, however, this time I will complete requirements to receive a Bachelor’s degree and I will be this first person in my family to do so. What a journey this has been.…
Before entering college, I was terrified. I often thought that what I learned in high school was not enough for me to succeed at a university. I viewed my writing skills and just my general course knowledge, as inadequate. While this hindered me at first, after experiencing my first semester in college, I believe that I have grown tremendously, not just academically, but socially as well. Being at such a diverse school has made me a lot more comfortable and openminded about conversing or even befriending those with different beliefs than mine. Though I have made growth over this semester, there are still areas that I need to improve on. Throughout the first semester, I noticed that I still am not confident in my work and that I tend to float by, settling for mediocre grades. While my grades have made a great improvement from high school, I know that I can do a lot better and that I should be putting in more effort in my school work. After my first semester at UNCG, I have improved in a lot of areas, and in the ones, that I still struggle in, I am in the process of growing and improving in those areas, but overall, my first semester has allowed me to learn a lot, not just about myself, but about the community that I am living in as well.…
My post high school plan is to end strong and start studying and refresh my math skills to take the apprenticeship program or take classes in automotive to gain the knowledge I will be going to Santa Ana College because I will be successful their while working. Thanks to working at an auto shop I have chose what I want to be or similar that is related to automotive. The final decision that made me chose my career was in the middle of school, where I was getting better at being a mechanic.…
Somewhere along Interstate 95 south, I had my movie moment. At 2:00 AM nothing matters but sleep. So when a friend of mine shook me awake as our coach bus “La Cubana” passed through Washington D.C, my mind was elsewhere. Until I opened my eyes, my body was filled with instant annoyance at her. The moment I did open them though, I was greeted by my peer’s awestruck faces at the sight that lay before them. The air around me had suddenly transformed to remedy making me whole. I had never been to Washington D.C.; just seen pictures online or in history textbooks. But being there and seeing how grand and beautiful the Washington and Jefferson Memorial were took my breath away.…
I use to think the most challenging goal that I had set for myself was obtaining my degree. I have discovered that writing an essay about oneself has been extremely difficult. I am a very private individual. So writing this essay is very uncomfortable to me because I have to discuss me and it is not on my terms.…
achieve a long time goal. As an adult student I have experience many life experiences…
There are a few goals that I had in my freshmen year. Some goals that I reached are to get better grades or simply be a better student. I failed to reach some of those goals, so I decided to reach for them during my sophomore year. One is to study before tests to improve my performance academically. Another is to try to do better than I was before.…

I had a vision when planning for college. I envisioned myself succeeding. Planning for success is scheduling ahead should your plan waver or flourish you must have a plan. I worked on a vision for myself and planned ahead for this journey through college. My vision involves prayer, preparation, time management and people involvement. I thought about the provision and the necessary goals needed to succeed in college.…
