Personal Narrative: My Interview As A Nurse

I have always been fascinated with doctors and nurses They’re always there when we need them and genuinely care for our well being. You can always count on them to find out what's wrong with you, and sometime the better ones will even give you advice based on personal experience Unfortunately, as much as I am fascinated by the prospects of becoming a doctor or nurse I feel scared to fully commit to the field. I worry that after I’ve completed the classroom half I might not have the resolution to handle some of the situations that I believe I could face in real life scenarios. That’s why I decided to interview Debora Sanda, my older sister, who is a licensed certified Nurse Assistant and Patient Care Technician. Debora works in private care as a geriatric nurse assistant. She loves her job because of the “...hands on experience I receive from this field and the satisfaction I get when I know I can not only physically help people but also affect the emotional and psychological aspects of their lives...” She also decided to go into the private care, because
Doctors tend to provide the diagnosis, and nurses tend to take care of patients on their road to recovery. This greatly changed my view on two jobs, as I thought that they had relatively equal standing and the only difference was that one tended to work in a clinic and the other in a hospital. Another, misconception that I had going into the interview was that there was going to be blood and upsetting situations to the eye. This however is actually very scalable. This is because although there is a major part of education needed to enter the nursing field, you get to choose what exact type of nursing you want to specialize in. This means that like Debora you can head into private care, that doesn’t necessarily require seeing blood, or you can decide to work in hospitals where there can sometimes be more dire
