Personal Narrative: My Journey Back To Disney World
With no doubt, time goes by faster than realized. Throughout a lifetime several things may happen to make us want to make time stand still. In today's time majority of people take their life and time on Earth for granted. Although it is not possible to make an event last forever, if I had the choice to go back to a certain time/event I would go back to the summer of 2012. In June of 2012 I started my summer off in Philadelphia. From Philadelphia I then traveled to Disney World in Florida. But why was this time so important to me? Firstly, this summer was not all about fun. Of course, I had a great time, but it was about the family I spent it with. Secondly, Disney World is such a happy place to be. Above all, this was time I knew I would never get back: although, with the choice to go back I would.
To start off with, the summer of 2012 was about the time I got to spend with family. I went to Disney World with my Mom-Mom, Pop-Pop, two aunts and two uncles, all of their children, my siblings and niece. Majority of these family members are ones that I never get the chance to see, because they live in Philadelphia. In the past year I have not got to see this side of my family not once, this makes me really appreciate the time that I do get to spend with them. While at Disney World with my family we

Disney World futures some of the best rides that there is. In addition, Disney world has several of Disney's characters present as if they are real. The characters added so much to our trip because my cousins, sister, niece and myself were all still interested them at young ages! As for the adults in our group they got their excitement from the rides and seeing us have fun! The rides in Disney World are absolutely nothing like rides that you experience at a fair. They give you the experience of a lifetime. This experience is a once in a lifetime and there is no way someone would not have

The sound of kids laughing ringed through my ears as the Disney All-Star Movies transportation bus pulled up to the parking lot at Walt Disney World Resort. I listened as my mom gave her safety instructions. I was ready to go. I was ready to ride the rides. I was ready see the famous Disney Castle. I was ready to meet all of my role model Disney princesses. I was ready to go.…

Climbing into the lime green car, my fear was over taking me. I was getting ready to ride the Titan, an adrenaline pumping roller coaster ride at Six Flags. It was easily the scariest ride at the park, in my opinion, with its enormous peaks, its deep descents, and double helix like turns was enough to make me sick. The ride began. Ascending up in the car on the canary yellow track, into the humidity filled, bright sky, the people observing from below resembled little army ants . The aerial view of Dallas was breathtaking, as I reached the peak of the ride and looked around. Passengers occupying the cars in front of me started falling off, like a cliff. I let out a high-pitched shrill, as we plummeted toward the Earth below. Traveling…

I remember the day vividly: the sizzling of food frying, children yelling, my tears running, it was the first time I adventured to Six Flags. The uneasiness of my stomach while swaying tens of feet from the ground on the Texas Giant petrified the adventurous spirit out of me. However, I did not realize that moment `would shape the next eight years of life, emerging in my memory at every unfamiliar experience I faced. It was my senior year when I declined an invitation to go camping with my friends an epiphany struck me. How many of these opportunities was I going to skip out on due to my reluctant manner?…

Most people think of Disney World as a place for children. So, when my boys began asking to go there for our family vacation, I wasn’t very excited. I had never been there and imagined me and my husband just following the boys around the park. Boy, was I wrong! Each of us had a wonderful time and it seems that we all remember things different, even though we were all together on the same vacation. Our five different memories have apparently come from our five different senses.…

The little exhausted 6 year old girl, running through crowds of people and in circles looking for her mom or just familiar faces. From riding the Mine Digger roller coaster, slipping away from my cousin for a quick snack, eventuality became separate from the group, then found by Daffy Duck and rescue by my cousin. I knew this was going to be my last trip to Six Flags. Before leaving Texas, my mom had request a trip to California to visit my great aunts and SeaWorld next…

It was just a boring day in my hometown, a traditional, weak entrance a lot of narrative stories use to try to get the attention of the readers. This story, however, isn’t one of those traditional stories; this one involves a day that had been exciting up to that point already. The memory that resonates daily throughout my mind would have to be the time when I went to Six Flags for the first time in my life. Before I jump into my story, I should tell you my friends mess with each other a lot, almost to the point where we get into fights with each other.…

When I think of Disney World I see it as this monument that has a place in all childhood memories. These memories include a lot of happiness and most importantly, fun with the family. After all of the time that I took trips to Disney, I can still clearly see the smiling children gushing over their favorite Disney characters and the equally excited parents who had to speed walk just to keep up with them. Another memory that is evident, is that feeling of nerves a person feels when they’re about to get on a scary rollercoaster, but also that feeling of accomplishment that comes after once they’ve conquered it. Disney World represents home to me not only because of the great experiences that come with it, but because it is located in my hometown Orlando. I have to admit I do miss living there and knowing that Disney World is not too far away always gives me an excuse to visit. As a kid, I would always go on trips to Disney World and its image is a fond reminder of all those happy memories and easier…

I returned back from vacation this week and it was nice to see all the children’s smiling faces. The parent’s express how they missed me as well as their children. This makes me love my job even more. This week there was a two year old child who had a seizure at the center; this was scary for the children, staff, as well I. 911 had to be called out to the center. We all have had CPR and first aid training so we were comfortable with handling the case until the ambulance reached us. However, we were not so prepared when the child stopped breathing. This was a learning experience, but I do not want to do it again. I want all my children safe and happy. I had to ride with the child to the hospital till her mother was reached and notified what…

The mechanical chairs were going up, 100ft in the air we were ready for our stomachs to drop to our feet, adrenaline pumping. Then all of the sudden we were in a situation; death or survival? On one normal day of school my friends and I (Bri, Keishon, Chaniece, and Datasia) were sitting at the lunch table eating our food. Then Bri brought up the idea that we should all take a road trip to Six Flags. Keishon agreed, “sounds like a good idea to me.” Everybody else then agreed with Bri that it was a good idea. After school we all decided to meet at Bri’s house after we had packed our stuff. We decided that we were going to get a hotel there and go out to eat after leaving Six Flags. From the other room Datasia yelled, “Are you guys ready?” We…

When we think Disneyland, we think the happiest place on earth. For those who think this is an exaggeration, let me shed some light on why this place is magical for me. Disneyland to me means family traditions with a heart full of happiness and love. When you first enter Disneyland, you are overcome with a vast amount of emotions. I get a nervous feeling deep inside my gut. The excitement overwhelms me, knowing that in just a few small steps, I will see the castle at the end of Main Street. The smell of churros are in the air. The crowds are filled with children and parents. You can hear children’s laughter and excitement. And if you look closely, you can see Mickey and friends in the corner signing autographs and taking pictures. I close my…

A huge Mickey’s Fun Wheel jumped out at me right when I walked into the California Park. The colorful flowers set alongside a beautiful lagoon. The clip-clop of horse drawn carriages brought people back to carefree days. And of course, I never forget the biggest reason for going to Disneyland – the rides. There was a number of eye-catching moments here- some featuring otherworldly creatures, and white knuckle thrill rides through the clear sky.…
