So in my case, I had to wait for it to heal or tear. And wait I did. For seven months I fought through the constant popping and my knee giving out on me at different times. I finally reached the point where I couldn’t take it anymore. I made an appointment and was referred to an orthopedic surgeon in Salina. After a single examination, he concluded that this entire time my ACL had most likely been torn, but wouldn’t know for sure until he scoped out my knee. We set the date, the Monday before Thanksgiving at 6:30 a.m. to have my knee scoped and a possible ACL hamstring reconstruction. After murmuring a few choice words to them, I tried to explain that I had just had surgery and there was no possible way that that was going to happen. I also asked, “Did they take the thing out of my leg and put it in my knee?,” referring to the surgeon sewing together a hamstring graft and remaking my ACL. (Transition) After leaving the doctor's, the next stop on the road to recovery was physical
