By the time I entered high school, we had collectively visited 25 states, the farthest being a 28-hour road trip to Texas. Spending a good deal of time in a car during my childhood, I grew up staring out the window of our minivan, naming every car that we passed. By the time I was 12, I knew every car that I saw on the road, and when I turned 16, I knew the year, model, and estimated price of every car I spotted. The car business isn’t always the easiest since you could have a car for two weeks or two months and not always get a buyer. Within a year from beginning the business, we had sold around six cars, making a total of $12,000 in profit, all reinvested into the next car. The best part about this experience was that we got to drive around every car until it was sold, feeling which car we could keep and which car we should sell. And with every person I showed the car to, there was always a new, different experience that I was faced and learned from. My interest with cars and passion for becoming a businessman has led me to start and maintain a thriving business that has given me valuable first-hand experience. This hobby has also given me insight into the business world while still enjoying what I started loving as a kid and what I continue to love
