Personal Narrative: My Team Meeting
When developing this meeting I must propose my innovation to leaders in my organization. I have selected both of my assistant managers because of their willingness to continuously improve. I believe they can help implement, support, and sustain my innovation that will benefit all concerns. This meeting is going to be crafted and customized to my assistant manager and my organization as whole. This will make them want to participate and help me implement my innovation. I need to show them how this meeting with a different approach will benefit current and future issues.
My meeting is going to facilitate ideas that come with equipment for creating change. Creating change is something both my assistant managers’ view as a necessity. This assumption can be made because growth has been stagnate and there is heavy pressure on them to continue growth. In addition, change is usually not easy to do or talk about it. My workplace is very traditional and struggles to use working memory. I need to exemplify to my managers that at this meeting, “innovation will turn negative events into challenges to chase as teams” (pg. 104). This meeting is designed to show leaders that non-traditional approaches can help develop innovative solutions. In this particular case, my meeting is designed to help solve the gender issue my department is experiencing. In addition, this meeting is designed to benefit all by engaging everyone and implementing new innovative ways of thinking that increases the opportunity to overcome challenges and develop innovative solutions.     To successfully implement change, employees need to understand how this will benefit them and impact their daily work. One of the things is that something might look good on paper can have drawbacks that are not realized by the planners, but can be easily identified by the employees who must implement the change.
