Yours had inconclusive results. Please relax in the waiting room, we will call you when we are ready.” Did she seriously just ask me to relax? You don’t say something like that and think I will relax! I walked back out and sat down next to my brother.
“Did they find out what was wrong?” He said putting down the magazine he was reading.
“What do you think? After they did the usual poking and prodding, they made me sit through a stinking X-ray (not lying--it smelled in there) just to find out that my results were ‘inconclusive’. What does that even mean?” I was nearly screaming at him by the time I finished.
“Okay. Calm down.” The other five people in the room were starting to stare. I realized that I had stood up and quickly retook my seat. “Maybe it means you drink too much coffee.” he joked.
“Haha, very funny.” I rolled my eyes. I waited impatiently for the doctor to come back out and explain her terrible comforting skills. Why couldn’t she just except that I had fainted from a lack of sleep or something.Finally, the doctor came back out.
“Viveet?”
“What? It isn’t even spelled like that,” I grumbled into Andrew’s ear. He chuckled under his breath.
