been to the doctor the same look takes over his face every time. My name is called and we walk back into the room where the doctors are waiting for my arrival. Tears begin to stream down my face. The doctors inform me that I have to get surgery. Apparently part of my muscle in my calf has gone bad and it needs to be taken out. I tune out all of what they are saying and enter another world. My dad calls my name and signals that we need to go. Surgery is scheduled for the next day. I toss and turn all night until suddenly I realize I have not been to sleep. The sun starts to peak up and the alarm clock goes off. I walk and turn it off while my dad gets ready to go. I arrive at the main door and realize that I am about to go through the biggest surgery of my life. The doctors come in to get me ready and I am still in another world. The thought of why I got stuck with this illness rushes through my mind. I know that I am lucky one compared to thousands of other people. I have it easy compared to a lot of other people. The nurse comes and tells me that the doctors are ready for me. My dad kisses my head and in that moment I come back to reality. While the nurse pushes my bed to the OR my nerves start to set in.
In that moment I find out what my purpose in life is. For many years I never understood why I had to get stuck with this horrible sickness. God has given me this life because he knows I can handle it. My purpose is to help others who are struggling with chronic issues. If you ever question your purpose in life just remember that everything happens for a reason. I would never in a million years think that my life would be this way, however in a way I am very grateful that I can take something negative and turn it into something positive. Every person has a path in life and this is
mine.
