to vent frustrations on rulings until the end of the game. Her team ended up losing the game, which she became very angry which is understandable.
During the boys basketball, we had another altercation with the girl's basketball coach. In the second quarter, the head coach from Northeast Middle School was subbing a player. It took almost 30 seconds for the player to come out. After the substitution, I instructed Jason next time to watch me and throw the ball in.
I gave the coach warning to hurry up with the sub. The girl's basketball coach was at the scorer when she heard me say that. The very next sub was from West Creek, they didn't take as long as Northeast has with their subs. The girl's basketball coach starting screaming "why don't you throw the ball in for them, and they are taking long!" As I'm administering the free throws, I can hear her yellowing from the table. I stop the game, ask her to remove herself from the table. She wasn't a book keeper, score keeper, or timer. I went to the boy's head coach and told him to control your coaching staff. I told him she is the head coach for the girl's team and I will access a technical foul to you if her behavior continues. I The boys coach from Northeast didn't understand why he would get a technical. I explained it to him, and just said whatever. The girls basketball coach from Northeast was very angry at this time and told the scorer and time keeper I want their names so I can report them. During half time, the score and the time keeper told us the girls coach from Northeast Middle School wants your name. I told them to give it to her, we didn't do anything wrong. While in the hallway talking to the
Assistant Principle and athletic director. I told the girl's basketball coach my name. She said I don't need it, I already got it. I asked her can I have her name and she got very offensive saying "don't approach me like that". So I ended the conversation and said we are done! It was another lady with her, that told me she use to be a longtime coach from Northeast and wanted to talk. I ended up talking to her about the situation and we understood each other and had a good conversation while the girl's coach just watched. After that, me and Jason talked with the assistant principle, scorer, and time keeper about girl's coach from Northeast. They stated I didn't do anything wrong, and was glad the coach was removed from table and stopped yelling. Everyone stated it was a good game and we did a good job! The boys basketball game ended in three pointer buzzer beater with West Creek beating Northeast by one point.
