I started achieving my goals
Knowing what your future would be like, always it is giving
My main goal is to go to college. I am looking at a degree in forestry. My next goal is to find a job in the career field of my choice. To do this I need to make sure that when I am in college, I am putting forth my best effort in my classes and networking with people in the field. These goals have to be reached for me to do well out in the real world. High school may seem like it doesn’t matter, but it does because in the end without high school, I wouldn’t be able to go on to college and then on to a job that I love to do and work. To make my family proud I want to graduate and go onto college, get my degree, and finally make a living in my career field choice.…
My career goal is to have the ability to encourage, motivate, inspire, and stamp the lives of young teenagers. I chose to go into the career cluster of Education and Training. My career goal is to be a High School teacher and an Athletic Coach. I want to be considered one of the “cool teachers” that all the students go to with the school gossip and personal problems, but at the same time I want to be a teacher/coach that takes things seriously. I believe I would be successful pursuing teaching and coaching due to the fact they both share my interest of working with kids and being in charge. I also tend to believe with my grandmother and my mother also being teachers, it influenced my decision because…
My second career is psychology or psychologist. I’ve always been interested in the brain and how it works. you will need a bachelor's degree, but you’ll have better job opportunities with a doctorates degree. Some good schools for psychology are Harvard University and Yale University. The average salary for a psychologist is 69 thousand dollars a year. Some benefits you will have are life insurance, health insurance, vacation time, and paid time…
Attention Getter: When you were a kid, were you ever asked what you wanted to be when you grow up? Did you say a racecar driver, a firefighter, or maybe an astronaut?…
It all started in the summer of 2012; July to be exact. For some reason, I decided that being a soldier in the U.S Army wasn't enough. I wanted to go above and beyond the expectations that others had set for me. When I first heard about being "airborne" it seemed so surreal. In basic training, we sang cadences about it but I never really knew what it was until I went through it.…
A pilot is the person who flies the plane that you are in. He makes sure you have a safe flight by controlling the plane. He sits in a place called a cockpit; the cockpit sits in the front of the plane with all the controls.…
It all started when I stood about 4 feet tall, my father took me to Hill Air Force Base and we toured most of the planes. I remember this pilot telling me that I could be anything I wanted even a pilot like me. Ever since that day I was fascinated with planes and wanted to fly one like the pilot that talked to me. I would always look up at the planes flying above me and tell myself that’s going to be me one day. I have always made a clear goal for me and that is to do well in school so I can go anywhere when I’m older. When I was signing up for my senior year classes I came across this class and I knew it was too good to be true. So I signed up for it and all my friends said that it was going to be too hard of a test but I proved them wrong. I am ready for the challenges this course is going to give me and excited to be taught new things. Nothing in my life has ever felt so clear about something…
I always wanted to go into the military as a little kid. Now, actually being at the age of what I need to decide on what I’m going to do for my future is a little harder than I thought it was going to be. I have chose to do my project on The United States Air Force. It has always intrigued me to join the military because of my grandfather. He was in the Air Force and always told me stories about when he was in the service. I really wasn’t sure about what branch to go into because I didn’t really know what pays the best, but which is also the safest. This project has showed me that the Air Force is the safest option, and pays the best out of all of the branches of the military. So, this really worked out well because I always thought being a pilot would be such a fun job.…
I can never forget that bright sunny day when I first stepped in this college. I can just say- “that day was when I climbed the first step towards my dream”. Before I go into much details of the college, let me take you to flashback. I am Bhavuk Ahuja, a student of NSIT, belonging from Roorkee city. I am a person with dreams, as every person have some of them, but not same. I want to shine like a star. After the result of AIEEE, I was a bit depressed as I thought that my dream of admission in a top engineering college is now shattered. But sometimes, God has something better in store for you, something more than you even desire. Yes, he had something for me too.…
After becoming a Air force pilot, or other schooling options, many career choices lay ahead of you. Most people start off as cargo pilots, and work their way up the food chain going to commercial in the end. Over the summer, I decided to work at a local car wash. My goals consisted of making money; however, as time passed, my 40 hours a week schedule led to a fortuitous relationship between many of the Latino workers. Work-related questions gradually evolved into conversations and relieving jokes. With my limited Spanish education, I began to grasp at their diverse cultures and backgrounds. Unlike most of the Americans working at the wash, the Latino people all had second jobs and a family to care for. Their schedule would comprise of an eight hour shift at the wash followed by a four hour shift at their second job. Jaime, a middle-aged man who I am still in contact with,…
This ambition had unknowingly followed me through my childhood and into adulthood. Becoming a pilot was not as simple as I had imagined. I admit that I am not a so called fast learner, but being a pilot is not just about handling the controls in the cockpit, it takes a great responsibility on the passengers on board. Having a hint of fear of this responsibility, I completely flunked in my pilot license test.…
