It is a beautiful day in Sacramento, California and I am just getting lunch at “Mrs. Castillo’s home for Orphans” while I was eating string cheese and carrots with my best friend Elijah, my other friend Allie ran into the cafeteria and said “Hey! Samara! I have something for you, from Mrs. Castillo! After she was done sprinting, she handed me a note that said “Mrs. Castillo’s office, and I looked at the bottom and I saw something circled… and it said NOW!!! In all capitals. I knew that I did something wrong, I just knew it! I was so nervous I felt like I was going to throw up. As soon as I got up to the door I knocked, and heard her say “Come in my dear.” I walked in the door, and as soon as I got in there she turned around
in her rolly chair. She just had this GINORMOUS smile on her old lady, wrinkly face. Then automatically I knew that I wasn’t in trouble. Few! I’m so glad I wasn’t in trouble. I was so anxious to know what was going on or what happened. Next, was the news. Mrs. Castillo says, “There is a couple here to see you. You will love them. They are so sweet. They are a little old couple that wants to just hold a little girl.” “Well that’s great!” I said. Then Mrs. Castillo says, “yes, but sadly, their daughter was killed in a car crash 17 years ago.” “Oh… I said.” “They just want to have the feeling with them again.” “That’s ok, at least I get to experience what it’s like to have a family.” I said, then I asked Mrs. Castillo “where is the couple?” She said, “The next door over honey.” “Thanks.” I said to Mrs. Castillo. I opened the door and they just burst out in tears saying “ Oh she’s beautiful! She’s perfect!” It made me cry. Seeing them so happy to see me like I was their own daughter. I sat in that room with them the whole day. Asking questions and them asking me questions it was amazing. I've never been so happy, seeing someone who is as happy as I was. It was the greatest feeling I have ever experienced.
